Foodie
Nixon is a definitely a little clone of his daddy but, there is one thing he got from his momma it is his love of food. This kid can EAT.
Vegas Trip 2015
In May, my mom came up and watched Nixon while Jordan and I went to Vegas for a little weekend getaway. We met my sisters and their husbands there, and had a great time. Leaving Nixon was rough. I cried and cried, but I knew he was in the best of hands, and honestly, I don't even think he noticed we were gone! My mom is a rockstar and I am SO blessed she was willing to come and hang out with Nixon.
We had so much fun in Vegas! We ate, shopped, and lost all our money to the blackjack table! :) Jordan and I realized early on that we are not good at gambling. While we were driving down the strip, I saw a banner advertising that they had just opened a Cake Boss bakery inside the Venetian. I knew we had to go there. I have watched every episode ever made and want to be a baker in my next life. The line to get inside was crazy long, but that did not stop us. I was a little worried that the baked goods might not live up to the hype, but they did not disappoint. We decided to try a cannoli, mini chocolate mousse cheesecake, and a lobster tail. The lobster tail was jordan's choice, and honestly, did not look that great to me. Boy was I wrong. That thing was AMAZING! The real game changer was the cheesecake. To say it changed my life would be an understatement. It was delicious!! My biggest regret is only having bought one.....Buddy sure knows what he's doing in the kitchen.

Friends
We have loved living closer to our friends! We got to watch Edison while his mom was at work, and it was a pretty fun day. These 2 are destined to be BFF's!
RiKelle and I took the boys to the aquarium. They had a blast. our favorites were the penguins, and the shark tunnel!
Nixon and cute cousin Kylan. Nixon loves any chance he gets to play with his cousins!
Easter 2015
We had a great Easter this year. We decided to get tickets to the big easter egg hunt at Thanksgiving Point for Nixon. Had we known that our child had no interest in gathering eggs, we would have saved the $12 and went to a park to let him run wild for free. Despite totally missing the point of picking the eggs up, Nixon had a blast. He was in heaven running wild with the other 200 1-2 year olds. The announcer discouraged parents picking up eggs for there kids, so we walked away with 5 eggs, that had one tootsie roll in each. 5 tootsie rolls for $12.......what a prize. Good thing he's a cutie!
Scrub-a-dub-dub
What was life like before pinterest? It is truly a life saver for non-creative people like myself. Nixon and I find countless projects and adventures to try while scrolling through pinterest. I would say bath tub painting was one of the most successful to date.
Winter 2015
I'm not really sure we had winter here in Utah this year, which was MORE than ok with me! It's getting harder and harder to keep Nixon entertained inside, so having a very mild winter was prefectly fine in our books. Here's some random pictures.
Nixon is already a big fan of Cabela's. His dad has taught him well......
His favorite thing is to "help" mom clean. Favorite jobs include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, window washing, and dusting. Don't ask him to vaccum because he's terrified of the thing!
Happy Birthday to Jordan
This year Jordan turned 29. Although he's getting quite old, he's still pretty good looking! :)
Jordan's parents were able to come for his birthday weekend. The weather was uncharacteristically warm for february, so we were able to have a picnic in the park. Nixon had a blast, and I hope Jordan did, too! Love you Jordy!
