Winter 2015

I'm not really sure we had winter here in Utah this year, which was MORE than ok with me! It's getting harder and harder to keep Nixon entertained inside, so having a very mild winter was prefectly fine in our books. Here's some random pictures.

Nixon is already a big fan of Cabela's. His dad has taught him well......

His favorite thing is to "help" mom clean. Favorite jobs include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, window washing, and dusting. Don't ask him to vaccum because he's terrified of the thing!

Happy Birthday to Jordan

This year Jordan turned 29. Although he's getting quite old, he's still pretty good looking! :)
Jordan's parents were able to come for his birthday weekend. The weather was uncharacteristically warm for february, so we were able to have a picnic in the park. Nixon had a blast, and I hope Jordan did, too! Love you Jordy!

Hall Family Pictures 2014

While we were home for Thanksgiving we had family pictures taken. It was wild with so many little humans, but they turned out pretty cute!

Family Pictures 2014

Back in November we had our family pictures taken. Jessi did a wonderful job, and we couldn't love them more! She did such a good job scouting out the location, and making Nixon laugh and giggle. It was the best photo shoot we've ever had. In and out and I love all the pictures! It really pays to have one of your best friends become an awesome photographer.

Jess was able to get a few shots of Nixon and Hudson. I just want to eat them.

Christmas 2014

We spent Christmas this year with the Sheets. We had so much fun and were spoiled rotten. Unfortunately, Nixon got his first ear infection on Christmas Eve, which made for kind of a rotten holiday. Poor little guy was miserable and wouldn't sleep which resulted in jordan and I being miserable and not sleeping. :) Despite having a sick kid, we really did have a great time. It is always such a blessing to be around family and be reminded what Christmas is all about. We are so blessed to have people in our lives who love us unconditionally.
Christmas is easily my favorite time of year. I love the songs, decorations, food, smells.....everything. It really is a magical time, and each year I am more excited for it to come around. Last year, Nixon was only 5 weeks old. There is something so precious and holy about having a baby around Christmas. It makes the meaning of Christmas that much more real. I was worried that because Nixon is so much older that it might not feel as special as last year did, but luckily it felt even more sacred. How grateful I am for my Savior. I hope I can carry that spirit with me through the year.

Again, we didn't get many pictures. I guess that could be a New Year's resolution!

4 Years

Jordan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on December 17th. I can't believe it's been 4 years. We've lived in 4 different apartments, 3 different states, have had 6 different jobs between the two of us, and added a little boy to our family. It's been a crazy, stressful, joyful, tiring, magical, and eventful 4 years. It's hard to express how much I love and appreciate Jordan. I knew I loved him when we got married, but I didn't know how much or for all the different reasons. We've grown and changed in these past 4 years, but luckily the changes have been good and have brought us closer together. I am so grateful I get to share my life with this guy! He makes me want to be a better person. He teaches me everyday how to be better. I'm the luckiest and I can't wait to see what the next 50 years have in store for us!

Thanksgiving 2014

For Thanksgiving we went to Arizona to be with the Halls. It was the first time in a LONG time that all the siblings were together for Thanksgiving. The trip down was long and terrible. Nixon used to be such a great little traveler, but he was terrible. He pretty much cried the whole way. We left in the afternoon thinking that he would sleep most of the night, but he would only sleep for twenty minutes and then he would start crying. Despite it being the LONGEST drive of my life, we made it safe and sound. Because our family has outgrown our house, my mom and dad rented a house for the girls to stay at and it was so cute! It was just down the road from our house, so it was so nice to have a nice comfy bed to sleep in and then just walk over to see the whole family. We had too much fun to take any pictures. It was a little wild with all the grandkids together, but it was so fun. We road the horses, jumped on the trampoline, played with toys, played games and ATE. I don't think there is anything better than being with family. It reminds me who I am and where I came from and all that I have to be grateful for. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving and we were so happy that we all got to be together.
